Alessandra Lourenco is a mixed-media painter living and working in San Diego, California.
Drawing from experiences in nature, Alessandra's palettes are influenced by flora, shell, rock, sand, ocean and land. In an ever-evolving pursuit to deeper understand material and color, Alessandra experiments with soaking paint directly into raw canvas and pouring thinned coats of acrylic onto primed canvas. Akin to a 'creative cartographer', her paintings explore gestural map-making through intuitive mark making and layered information.
Her works are held in the collection of Soho House and in private collections around the United States and have been acquired by art advisories such as Uprise Art and Lendrum Fine Art. Her works have been exhibited at Bread & Salt, The Floating Gallery, Seasons LA, Wonzimer Gallery, ArtShare L.A. and All Your Friends Music Festival in Los Angeles.
